Website Privacy Policy

This page explains how we treat the information provided by visitors, what other information we gather and how we use it. It also describes why we sometimes need to store 'cookies'. In common with almost all professionally run websites, this website logs the IP address of each visitor in order to keep it running reliably. This is also essential for protecting the website and its visitors from malicious attacks, including infection with malware.

This website collects and uses personal information for the following reasons:

1. Site Visitation Tracking

Like most websites, this site uses Google Analytics (GA) to track user interaction. We use this data to determine the number of people using our site, to better understand how they find and use our web pages and to see their journey through the website.

Although GA records data such as your geographical location, device, internet browser and operating system, none of this information personally identifies you to us. GA also records your computer's IP address which could be used to personally identify you but Google do not grant us access to this. We consider Google to be a third party data processor.

GA makes use of cookies, details of which can be found on Google's developer guides.

Disabling cookies on your internet browser will stop GA from tracking any part of your visit to pages within this website.

2. Cookies

This website provides information as a service to visitors such as you, and to do this reliably and efficiently, it sometimes places small amounts of information on your computer or device (e.g. - mobile phone). This includes small files known as cookies. The cookies stored by this website cannot be used to identify you personally. We use cookies to understand what pages and information visitors find useful, and to detect problems such as broken links, or pages which are taking a long time to load. We sometimes use cookies to remember a choice you make on one page, when you have moved to another page if that information can be used to make the website work better.

3. Consent Forms and Email Links

Should you choose to contact us using a contact form on our website, the details of your enquiry will be stored within a mySQL database so we can reference any contact from you to ensure we deliver the finest service possible if required. The data will also be collated into an email and sent to us over the Simple Mail Transfer Protocol (SMTP). Our SMTP servers are protected by TLS (sometimes known as SSL) meaning that the email content is encrypted before being sent across the internet. The email content is then decrypted by our local computers and devices.

4. Personal Data

Personal information that you submit to the Cole Associates Corporate Finance through this website will only be used for the purposes provided, for example, to respond to an enquiry. It will not be used for any other purpose without your consent, unless we are legally required to do so.

5. Disclosure to Third Parties

We will not sell, trade or rent your personal information to other third parties. We may, however, provide aggregate statistics about our site usage and traffic patterns and related site information to third parties but these statistics will include no personally identifying information.

6. Your Rights

You have a right to receive a copy of certain information we hold about you if you apply in writing. To do this, simply write to: Cole Associates at the address below. You may need to pay a fee.
